OUTDOOR MUSIC FESITIVAL | NOISE MONITORING
BRIEF
Waveform Acoustics was engaged to provide active noise monitoring during a music festival
SOLUTION
The team set up noise monitors at noise sensitive receivers around the site where the music festival will be taking place. The measurements from these monitors will be actively watched so that our team can liaise with the festival coordinators to maintain regulation noise levels.
RESULT
The music festival was a huge success and noise levels maintained throughout the event.
| ACTIVE NOISE MONITORING | TIMBERYARD BRIEF Eventz noise management undertook active noise monitoring during a recent live music event at the Timberyard. One of our team was present throughout the event with noise monitors at sensitive noise receptors monitored the whole time. SOLUTION Our team is there to maintain noise levels at EPA standards to prevent complaints and to allow the event to run smoothly. Eventz will liaise with management in noise does exceed regulations standards. A report will be developed after the event to summaries noise levels and highlight if any complaints are received. RESULT The event ran smoothly and noise levels maintained within EPA guidelines. TIMBERYARD https://thetimberyard.com.au/#gallery

| ICEHOUSE | NOISE REPORT BRIEF Waveform Acoustics was asked to provide a Summary Acoustic Report in relation to the Active Noise Monitoring of the Icehouse event. Active noise monitoring occurred throughout the event with communication between the front of house mixing desk, event coordinator and our team via a chat channel in order to maintain regulation noise levels. SOLUTION Noise modelling of the event was provided to Waveform Acoustics in the form of an acoustic report, which together with our site inspection, assisted in identifying the most affected noise sensitive receivers during the event. All measurements taken during the event were outdoors and within the determined noise sensitive areas. RESULT The report and data undertaken shows that the event ran smoothly, and noise levels were within regulation guidelines. The event itself was also a success and greatly enjoyed by all. |

ACTIVE NOISE MONITORING | COLD CHISEL
| BRIEF We were engaged to undertake active noise monitoring as well as a summary acoustic report for an event at the Mornington Racecourse to make sure it complied with the condition of its event permit | SOLUTION Noise modelling of the event was provided, with noise monitoring of ‘sensitive receivers’ happening over the course of the event. | RESULT No complaints were received during the event and noise levels stayed within regulation. |
ACTIVE NOISE MONITORING | BLACK COFFEE
| BRIEF We were engaged to undertake an acoustic report in relation to active noise monitoring taken during the event, in order to ensure that the event complied with EPA regulations | SOLUTION Noise modelling of the event was provided, with noise monitoring of ‘sensitive receivers’ happening over the course of the event. | RESULT No complaints were received during the event and noise levels stayed within regulation. |

ACTIVE NOISE MONITORING | NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS 'WILD GOD TOUR'
| BRIEF Waveform Acoustics was engaged as the acoustic consultant to undertake active noise monitoring and prepare post‑event acoustic reporting for the Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds “Wild God Tour”, held at Alexandra Gardens across three consecutive nights
| SOLUTION Attended noise monitoring and fixed‑position logging were conducted at locations selected to represent conditions at the nearest noise‑sensitive receivers. Monitoring positions were confirmed following predictive noise modelling and on‑site verification to ensure accurate assessment of event‑related noise impacts. | RESULT A strong overall noise‑compliance outcome was achieved across all three nights. Despite varying weather conditions, the acoustic team successfully maintained control of sound levels through real‑time monitoring, responsive communication, and proactive level management. |
